apt-get install ifenslave
Interface Configuration
Modify /etc/network/interfaces
. Remove (or comment out) any existing configuration for your slave interfaces (eth0
and eth1
), and configure your new bond0
interface appropriately:
auto bond0
iface bond0 inet static
address 5.255.79.xxx
netmask 255.255.255.192
gateway 5.255.79.129
slaves eth0 eth1
bond_mode balance-alb
bond_miimon 100
bond_downdelay 200
bond_updelay 200
dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
Restart networking
Once configured, start networking:
invoke-rc.d networking start
Verify the bonding
ifconfig bond0
